American Married Men and Women called to the priesthood? I think some time in front of the Blessed Sacrament might be in order for anyone who feels this call. I'm interested in becoming a Deacon and the work and studies that involves is a very big sacrifice for me, a married man. Having two vocations isn't in the best interest of either vocation.

Incredible that the hierarchs would prefer to ordain foreign celibate males rather than American married men and women called to priesthood.
All about power and control!

Who could blame them at all for wanting to be priest in this country rather than their home countries.
Many from third world sign up to escape.

In the meantime we send volunteers to go minister in the theirs. Go figure.
