Manager of His Home by Steve Maxwell

Manager of His HomeJust wanted to share a quick note about this talk I listened to. It's call "Manager of His Home" and it's by Steve Maxwell of www.titus2.com. It's packed with scripture references and insight specifically for homeschooling dads and their homes. If you get a chance, I highly recommend it! Mr. Maxwell really dives into the husband as the head of the home and family and helps point you in the right direction to raising and teaching your kids and strengthening your relationship with your wife in the process. I've only listened to disc one so far, but am looking forward to part 2.

For more info, you can visit www.titus2.com. We discovered the site from my sister-in-law (who I borrowed the talk from as well) as they feature products for helping you organize and schedule your home and homeschool. Homeschooling is a very difficult endeavor, but the rewards are countless. If you're thinking about it or have any questions, drop me an email at jeremy@goodsaints.com.

Who needs children anyway

Posted in August 6th, 2009
by Jeremy in Children, Environment, Family, Population Control

I mean seriously, what good are they? Does anyone have anything positive to say about having children? Apparently not. And now they are also responsible for destroying the environment. At least according to an Oregon Study that says having children...

is the most destructive thing that can be done to the environment.

So I've got a great idea. Let's all just stop having children. That way the earth can stay healthy and pollution won't keep growing. Of course no one will be around to see it, but hey, sounds like a good plan to me.

My wife and I have 4 children and we get plenty of comments and looks about the size of our family. Which is funny, because to me 4 doesn't seem like that many, as many of our friends have 5, 6, 7, 8, or 13! But people seem to think we're nuts and often ask "you're done, right?". We sacrifice much to have our children. If we had stopped at 2, we'd have more stuff and more money and get to do more things and be happier, or so we're told. Watching them play together really makes me thankful and blessed to have them.

Today's anti-family world scares me especially with how accepted abortion and gay marriage are, and our current President and his very liberal agenda. I continue to pray for families and their children to stay strong and live their faith in these very trying times.

Rosary for the Bishop

I thought it would be fun to see how many people will sign-up from the Diocese of Gaylord. So sign-up and pray a rosary for Bishop Hebda and/or any of the other terrific bishops that serve and lead us!
