Just received this great news in my inbox from Miles Christi...
It is with great joy that we can share with you some wonderful news for the Holy Catholic Church and Miles Christi.
On Saturday, July 19, in Villa Elisa (Argentina), two of our Brothers, Deacon Charles and Deacon Patrick, will be ordained to the Holy Priesthood!
In order to express our joy and to be spiritually present at the transcendental moment of their lives, we would like to send them a Spiritual Bouquet from all those who would like to participate from the USA. We are asking for your prayers or offerings for these two new Priests, for their intentions and perseverance and for all their future apostolates helping souls draw closer to Christ and grow in holiness.
If you would like to participate, please respond to this email with the number of prayers or offerings you would like to commit to offer up for these two new Priests of God. It is not necessary for you to complete your commitment before they are ordained, but just a promise of your prayers would be sufficient.
If you have any questions please let us know. Your prayers really mean a lot not only to Deacons Charles and Patrick but to all of us in Miles Christi.

I received this email over the weekend with an update on Bro. Oscar of the religious order Miles Christi.
Through this email we want to let you know that very early this morning, Bro. Oscar Carbone, MC, passed away in Argentina, at the age of 35. He is the first religious of Miles Christi to pass away. Bro. Oscar was enrolled in the Scapular Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, as all of our religious members. We firmly trust that Our Lady wanted to take him before the presence of Our Lord on a Saturday, day on which Holy Mother Church honors her.
Bro. Oscar had been fighting cancer for several months. As his condition worsened, he was able to bear all his sufferings with edifying virtue offering them with patience and without any complaint.
By the grace and Mercy of God, Bro. Oscar died the death of a holy religious. He consecrated his life to the Lord and died having received the Sacraments, surrounded by many religious of Our Order and his relatives. He received also the Apostolic Blessing with a plenary indulgence and, a few days before his death, he was able to profess his Perpetual Vows in Miles Christi.
“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Let us remember always our Lord’s words, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in Me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die” (Jn 11: 25?26).
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the Mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
Please keep Bro. Oscar in your prayers as well as his family members and our Religious Order, Miles Christi.
The Priests and Brothers of Miles Christi
Miles Christi is a big part of my growth in the Catholic faith through their silent retreats based on the Spritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Please keep Miles Christi and Bro. Oscar and his family in your prayers. St. Ignatius of Loyola, Pray for Us!
