I found this great quote on Holy Family Radio's Twitter and thought it was perfect...

Have I skipped some of my prayers with the excuse that I am short of time, forgetting my prayer time is the most useful part of the day?

Here's some of my daily prayers, I use to get me through the day...

A Prayer before Logging onto the Internet

Saint Isidore of Seville
Proposed Patron Saint of Internet Users
(c.560 - 636)

Almighty and eternal God, who created us in Thy image and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful, especially in the divine person of Thy only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, bishop and doctor, during our journeys through the internet we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Saint Paul of the Cross

O glorious Saint Paul of the Cross, who, by meditating on the Passion of Jesus Christ, didst attain to so high a degree of holiness on earth and of happiness in Heaven, and, by preaching the same Passion, didst offer anew to the world the most certain cure for all its ills, obtain for us the grace to keep it ever deeply engraved in our hearts, that so we may be able to reap the same fruits both in time and in eternity. Amen.

Saint Maria Bertilla Boscardin

God and I alone, internal external recollection, continuous prayer, this is the air I breath; never-ending work, diligent, but with calmness and order. I am God’s creature, God created me and he protects me, reason wanted that I am entirely His. I seek happiness, but true happiness I find only in God. I must do God’s will without asking for anything in return, with no other desires, with cheerfulness and laughter. I implore God that he may help me to win my ego, to understand what is right and what is wrong, that He may help me to do at all costs His holy will, without asking for anything more.

Saint Leo the Great

St. Leo the Great you formed the doctrine of the Incarnation. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Pray that this truth will become known, be appreciated and cherished for the Treasure that It is today, that all may come to know Jesus in the Eucharist as He is present in all the Tabernacles of the world.

Your goal was to sustain the unity of the Church and you fought the heresies which seriously threatened church unity. Beg God to strengthen His church on Earth, to heal divisions within the church, and bring about unity of all Christians everywhere under the authority given to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.

By your intersession, Rome was saved from being destroyed. We pray that you interceed for the Church now. Ask God to protect the Church from all who would try to destroy its members. Amen.

Prayer for My Wife

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of (your wife's name). Help me always to see her as a gift from You to me. Help me to be the good husband and father You want me to be. Father, please help my wife to be the good woman You want her to be. Help her to grow in all the virtues she needs as wife, mother, and homemaker. Help her to be the real heart of our family, and help her to accept the leadership that You have entrusted to my care. Help us to be good parents and to grow ever closer as we grow old together. I ask this in the name of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Prayer of St. Gertrude the Great

Our Lord dictated the following prayer to St. Gertrude the Great to release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
