Our small Catholic parish has some big voices in the choir, after Mass on Easter Sunday we heard this...
Happy Easter!
Another great video from CatholicVote...
A very exciting time for the Catholic Church and all Catholics around the world. I can't wait to see Pope Francis in action!
Yesterday I saw on Twitter the hashtag #AdoptACardinal and learned about a new website where you can Adopt A Cardinal to pray for during the upcoming weeks and papal conclave.
Here is some info about the site...
You now have the opportunity to actively be part of this providential endeavour by having a Cardinal assigned to you, who you will support through your prayer and intercession during the coming weeks before and during the conclave and for three days following the election.
My adopted cardinal is Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio current president of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts since his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI on 15 February 2007.
Here is more about Cardinal Coccopalmerio...
He was appointed as a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on 23 December 2010 for a five year renewable term. Custom dicates that this will be renewed as necessary until his 80th birthday. In January 2011 the council began to circulate a draft of revisions to the penal section of the code of Canon Law, which governs crime and punishment in the church – including sexual abuse by clergy. The aim is to have a final draft ready for Benedict XVI by the end of 2012.
On 18 February 2012, Pope Benedict XVI created him Cardinal-Deacon of San Giuseppe dei Falegnami. He will retain cardinalatial voting rights until 8 March 2018, his 80th birthday. On 21 April 2012 Cardinal Coccopalmerio was named a member of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Apostolic Signatura and the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. On 22 December 2012 he was appointed a member of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.[2] He will hold these memberships until his 80th birthday.
Please continue to pray for Pope Benedict XVI (as of Thursday he'll be known as "His Holiness Benedict XVI, Pope Emeritus" or simply "Roman Pontiff Emeritus") and all the cardinals over the next several weeks for this unique time in the Catholic Church.

Cardinal Francis Arinze shares his thoughts on Pope Benedict XVI stepping down as Pope...
My View: It doesn't get much better than Cardinal Arinze. While the news is shocking, Cardinal Arinze speaks on how our faith can be strengthened during this time, and put the focus back on Christ and not just on the faces leading us.

John Preiss, President of the Fatima Family Apostolate, shares some quick thoughts on homeschooling...
My View: Couldn't agree more about the importance of TIME. My wife and I were just talking last night about some stuff in the news and how it is a blessing to have our kids schooled at home. It gives them a chance to learn in a loving environment where they can grow in confidence, but most importantly grow in their faith and morals.
Michael Voris of ChurchMilitant.TV shares his thoughts on the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and a couple of things that we as Catholics need to remember...
My View: It's nice to see Pope Benedict getting props for stepping down if he feels like he can't do the job anymore. It should be an interesting few weeks as history is made. Keep Pope Benedict and the Cardinals in your prayers, as well as the Catholic Church, with the secular media going to use this time to attack with its own agenda.
Here is a prayer for those that are sick...
I found the prayer at Our Catholic Prayers along with some great information on praying for the sick as well as a few other prayers for different stages of health issues.
Terrific video about what it means to be an Altar Server. If you're a father with sons who serve or will serve one day, watch this!
